C:N:P stoichiometry as an indicator of Histosol drainage in lowland and mountain forest ecosystems

چکیده
Abstract Background Peatlands form one of the largest carbon pools in terrestrial ecosystems, representing approximately one-third world’s soil carbon. The aim this study was to evaluate C:N:P stoichiometry as an indicator changes initialized by dehydration Histosols varied origins. Four types from lowland and mountain areas were investigated: fibric Histosols, hemic sapric drainic. Results We established concentration carbon, nitrogen phosphorous found marked differences between different – especially dehydrated samples. mean ratio narrower than under influence water, which demonstrates that dehydrating leads a stoichiometry. This is directly related intensification organic matter mineralisation process resulting loss recorded 50 % lower stock case drainic compared other Histosols. Conclusions result decrease N P C content. Thus, useful occur dehydration.

Diatoms as an indicator for tile drainage flow in a German lowland catchment
Background The separation of runoff components within a model simulation is of great importance for a successful implementation of management measures. Diatoms could be a promising indicator for tile drainage flow due to their diverse preferences to different aquatic habitats. In this study, we collected diatom samples of 9 sites (4 tile drainage, TD, and 5 river sites, Ri) in a German lowland ...
متن کاملDiversity of Plants and Animals in Mountain Ecosystems in Tajikistan
Tajikistan is a hotspot of plant and animal species diversity and endemism andis important for the conservation of biodiversity on a global scale. The country is located ata biological crossroads. Species from Central and Northern Europe, Central Asia, theMiddle East, and North Africa mingle here with endemics found nowhere else. Therichness of Tajikistan‘s biodiversity shows up at the genetic,...
متن کاملCarbon : nitrogen stoichiometry in forest ecosystems during stand developmentgeb
Results The C : N ratio in plant tissue, litter, forest floor and mineral soil exhibited large variation across various sequences, with an average of 145.8 9.4 (mean SE), 49.9 3.0, 38.2 3.1 and 18.5 0.9, respectively. In most sequences, the plant tissue C : N ratio increased significantly with stand age, while the C : N ratio in litter, forest floor and mineral soil remained relatively constant...
متن کاملdevelopment and implementation of an optimized control strategy for induction machine in an electric vehicle
in the area of automotive engineering there is a tendency to more electrification of power train. in this work control of an induction machine for the application of electric vehicle is investigated. through the changing operating point of the machine, adapting the rotor magnetization current seems to be useful to increase the machines efficiency. in the literature there are many approaches wh...
